Celebration of Young Creativity in Nottingham

The 2012 Young Creative Awards ceremony was a fantastic showcase of creativity and talent from Nottingham’s young people.

Rhiannon Coffey from South Nottingham College, was named as the Young Creative of the Year. She received her award from Notts screenwriter, William Ivory, for her imaginative furniture and wallpaper designs for the newly refurbished Nottingham Railway Station.

Rhiannon headed a list of award winners in a wide range of categories which reflected the depth of talent in Nottingham. The Young Creative Award was her second of the evening as she had earlier been awarded the Architecture and Interior Design Award in the 19-24 years old age group.

The event heard from Nottingham writer William Ivory Made in Dagenham and heard music from A Band of Jackals, Georgie Rose and Rob Green.The organisers of the awards were enormously impressed by the quality of entries, which were in an exhibition at the Contemporary for one night. They look forward to even better in 2013. The winners and sponsors for each category were:
